We collected austria's parliamentary speeches from 1996 to 2018. With the browser, you can read the speeches together with highlighted interruptions of other members of the parliament. The interruptions visualization shows all interruptions, incoming or outgoing, per member of the parliament.

Left section consists of a table with (a) sorting area, (b) entries containing (c) parliamentary session number and its date, (d) distribution of speech durations by party and the distribution of incivility of the sentences, (e) barchart indicating the number of interruptions in the respective parliamentary session. The right section consists of (f) navigation bar for the selected parliamentary session (by clicking on a persons image, the text scrolls to the speech of the respective person), (g) the text browser, beginning with the name and an image of the speaking person, then the topic of the speech, and then the speech itself, where each sentence is underlined by its incivility (light purple no incivility, purple slightly more uncivil to dark purple uncivil or by the color of the interruption type Zwischenruf, Beifall, or Heiterkeit), (h) the interruptions with an image of the interrupter and the content of the interruption.

On the left side the incoming interruptions are visualized, in the middle the respective person, on the right side the outgoing interruptions. (a) area for sorting and altering the data, (b) barcharts for the number of incoming interruptions by type, (c) barcharts for the number of incoming interruptions by party, (d) beeswarm plot for the interrupting others (left more interruptions by the other, right less interruptions by the other), (e) the respective person, with image, name, and party affiliation, (f) beeswarm plot for the outgoing interruptions, (g) barchart for the number of outgoing interruptions by party, (h) barchart for the number of outgoing interruptions by type.
